Land and Houses joins efforts to ease consumers’ payment

On September 30, Mr. Adul Chuvanichanon, Land and Houses Plc Managing Director (seated far right), joined an MOU signing ceremony with the Office of The Consumer Protection Board (OCPB), Prime Minister’s Office, to assist consumers facing financial institutions’ loan rejection for their payment of real-estate properties. Presiding over the ceremony was Mr. Anucha Nakhasai, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office (seated middle).

In conjunction with OCPB, property developer Land and Houses recognizes the significance of public and consumer protection through contract fairness for their purchase of land with homes and condominium units—specifically those that have signed contracts to buy such properties and paid booking fees, contract fees, and down payments to developers, only to have their loan applications rejected by financial institutions. As a result, they cannot take transfer of landownership together with homes or condominium units under their contracts. Therefore, this MOU was prepared to aid consumers that have acted in goodwill and intend to take up residence in such properties, as opposed to investment or speculative purchase.
